Facilities Manager

Hiring Salary: $63,213 – $75,855 annually

Position Summary

The Facilities Manager oversees the maintenance, safety, cleanliness, and operational excellence of all district facilities and grounds. This position leads facilities and grounds staff, manages maintenance programs and budgets, and ensures school buildings and outdoor spaces provide safe, efficient, and attractive environments for students, staff, and the community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and support facilities, grounds, park, and seasonal staff.
  • Manage hiring, training, scheduling, and performance evaluations.
  • Develop and administer facilities and grounds budgets.
  • Oversee preventive maintenance programs, work orders, inspections, and certifications.
  • Coordinate snow removal, contracted services, and capital improvement projects.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, environmental requirements, and applicable state laws and codes.
  • Manage vendor relationships, purchasing, contracts, and project specifications.
  • Maintain effective communication with district leadership and stakeholders.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of building and grounds maintenance experience, including at least 3 years in a supervisory role.
  • Working knowledge of carpentry, plumbing, electrical systems, concrete work, excavation, and landscaping.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Valid Colorado driver’s license required.
  • Computer proficiency, including database management.
  • Experience with budgeting, accounting practices, or related coursework preferred.
