MOYA Young Adult Coordinator (10-20 hours per week)
Position Summary

Under the supervision of the Senior Manager of Youth Engagement, this position supports the mission of the organization by advising on various Mountain Youth and community initiatives from the perspective of a young adult in the community. This position will coordinate logistics and expansion of current young adult programming alongside a team of part-time young adult ambassadors. The MOYA Young Adult Coordinator will build rapport with the young adult ambassadors, general community of young adults, as well as all Mountain Youth staff to collaboratively best serve young adults, defined as individuals ages 18-30, in our community.

• Be a champion for youth, inclusive of young adults, and advocate for policies, practices, and efforts that support their overall healthy development
• Leverage opportunities to develop impactful partnerships
• Ensure youth, young adults, family members, and community members are recognized as valued partners in our work and in the community
• Maintain positive staff and board relations
• Support in fundraising efforts and sustainability strategies to maintain the overall work of the organization
• Participate in regular one-on-one, team, and committee meetings to align different efforts and resources across the organization
• Represent Mountain Youth through collaborative projects as needed
• Serve as an ambassador for Mountain Youth programs, contributing to community education, safe driving strategies, Communities That Care, and Mountain Youth in public forums such as community events and municipality meetings
• Support facilitation of positive media campaigns with supporting staff members
• Support Valley’s Voice, a youth advising and leadership cohort of local youth
• Participate in impaired and distracted driving prevention strategies
• Maintain Mountain Youth internal database and tracking systems in a timely manner
• Ensure completion of program evaluation and assessment activities
• Support with other Mountain Youth projects, newsletter and communication strategies, and events
• Perform general office duties and other duties as assigned

• Organize events, in partnership with MOYA Ambassadors, based on community needs and ambassador ideas, in collaboration with community partners.
• Offer experiences and opportunities to meet and connect with diverse populations of young adults, 18-30 years old.
• Support collaborative efforts to serve the young adult and young professional community
• Increase broad community awareness and understanding of the MOYA program through strategic marketing plans and efforts
• Work with the Marketing and Events Manager to best craft messaging that will create awareness and engage the youth and young adult community, supporting social media and marketing strategies
• Represent MOYA at community events and collaborative spaces, being a spokesperson about the work in meetings, networking events, and broader community spaces
• Serve as a conduit between Mountain Youth’s mission, and the broader young adult community in the Eagle River Valley.

• Coordinate the entirety of the young adult data collection and dissemination process, working with the Director of Strategic Impact and MOYA Ambassadors to design, execute, and review evaluation results of a survey administration to young adults in the community. This survey will allow the community to learn more about this age groups’ habits, desires, and challenges.
• Assist in improving the lives of this age group through programs addressing gaps and opportunities found in the data. Review data findings, identify priority focus areas, support facilitation of focus groups with the local young adult population, support completion of a Key Findings Report and advise on how to best share the report with the community.
