Vail Racquet Club Mountain Resort Lead Unit Maintenance Technician

The Lead Unit Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing unit maintenance tasks such as routine plumbing and electrical repairs, hvac, painting and carpentry. This role includes leading daily in-unit maintenance activities, troubleshooting, and supporting improvement initiatives. Works closely with vendors for advanced/complex repairs. This position combines leadership with hands‑on technical skills. Schedule includes weekends and holidays.

• Maintenance tasks:
  Perform simple and advanced maintenance tasks, including inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs.
• Work Order Management:
  Prioritize work orders and preventative maintenance tasks.
• Communication:
  Acts as primary conduit for information on technical and maintenance issues within and between the operations group, and with owners, guests and vendors. Shares unit maintenance information with owners in a timely and professional manner. Fine tunes the day-to-day procedures to assist in efficient operations of the department.

• 3-5 years in resort maintenance preferred.
• Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills.
• Mechanical knowledge (plumbing, electrical, hvac, carpentry, etc.)
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
• Ability to use hand tools and specialized equipment.
