2026/27 Denver to Vail Airport Shuttle Driver

$25 to $35 per hour, including tips

On-call and flexible, with a path onto permanent staff. Based in the Vail Valley or Summit County.

Job Overview

Blue Sky Limo is hiring on-call drivers for the 2026/2027 season to run our private shuttle service to Vail from Denver Airport . This is a part-time position with a path onto permanent staff for drivers who prove themselves through the season. The days you work are up to you, but you need to keep the shifts you commit to. You will drive our fully equipped luxury SUVs on the Denver to Vail run, meet guests at the airport, and deliver them to hotels, condos, and private homes across the Vail Valley.

Job Description

The run covers 119.6 miles from Denver International Airport west on I-70 to exit 176, about two hours in normal conditions, climbing through the Eisenhower-Johnson Memorial Tunnel and crossing Vail Pass. Airport shuttle drivers work on call, which means being available for early-morning and late-night pickups timed to flights rather than to a fixed shift. You need to know the corridor, drive it safely in whatever the weather is doing, and look after the guest from the curb at Denver to the front door in Vail.

Job Responsibilities
  • Transport guests safely between Denver International Airport and Vail, Avon, Beaver Creek, and other Vail Valley destinations.
  • Send guests your number before their flight lands, meet them at Island 1, and assist with luggage and ski equipment.
  • Operate the vehicle responsibly through changing I-70 conditions, including traction law days, closures, and Vail Pass weather.
  • Stay in contact with dispatch through the shift and adjust for flight delays, pass closures, and itinerary changes.
  • Keep the vehicle clean, stocked, and presentable before and after every run.
  • Log trip details accurately, including passenger counts, mileage, and any incidents.
Job Requirements
  • At least 25 years old, for insurance eligibility.
  • A valid driver’s license in your name and a five-year driving record with no major moving violations. No CDL required.
  • Year-round residence in the Vail Valley or Summit County, along the I-70 mountain corridor.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States.
  • Comfortable driving in ice, snow, high winds, and reduced visibility.
  • Available for early-morning, late-night, weekend, and holiday shifts through the ski season.
  • Professional appearance and clear communication with guests and dispatch.

NO PASSENGER DRIVING EXPERIENCE IS NECESSARY
, though it helps. Some of our best drivers came to us with the right attitude and no transport background  applicants are subject to a background check and a motor vehicle record review.

Safety and Standards

Blue Sky Limo has maintained a perfect safety record since 2012, and we equip you to keep it.

  • Mountain-ready fleet: every SUV runs all-wheel drive on studded winter tires, with a rooftop cargo box that keeps skis out of the cabin.
  • Rigorous maintenance: daily pre-trip inspections and a fleet refreshed every season.
  • Anti-fatigue policy: we follow FMCSA Hours of Service rules, so nobody drives this corridor tired.
  • Driver authority: slow the pace, reroute, or pause the trip when conditions call for it. Dispatch backs you every time.

Drivers earn $25 to $35 per hour including tips, depending on the season and the shift. The schedule is on call and flexible: you tell us the days you are available, and dispatch builds the week around it. Winter is the busy half of the year, and the holiday and storm weeks pay the best. Drivers who work a full season reliably are the first we look to when a permanent, year-round seat opens up.

Why

Drive for Blue Sky Limo

We are a family-owned company that has been running the I-70 corridor since 2012. Drivers here are long-term team members, not interchangeable vendors. We hold Colorado PUC authority and the required Denver International Airport permits, we update the fleet every season, and our work is backed by hundreds of five-star reviews across Google and Tripadvisor. Vail runs year-round, with heavy winter demand from skiers and steady summer demand from hikers, cyclists, concert-goers, and wedding parties, so the work does not disappear when the snow does.
