On-Call Denver to Vail Shuttle Drivers (2026/27 Season)

Blue Sky Limo is looking for on-call drivers for the upcoming 2026/27 season. This is a part-time, seasonal position, and drivers who do well through the season have a path onto our permanent staff. You will pick guests up at Denver International in one of our luxury SUVs and get them to their hotel, condo, or rental home somewhere in the Vail Valley.

How the schedule works:

You tell dispatch which days you are available, and we build your week around that. There's no fixed roster. What we do ask is that you keep the shifts you commit to, because a guest is waiting at the airport for you. For a lot of people in Eagle and Summit counties, that makes this a good fit alongside work they already have going.

The Denver to Vail run:

The drive is 119.6 miles from Denver International Airport west on I-70 to exit 176, and it takes about two hours in normal conditions. Every trip climbs through the Eisenhower-Johnson Memorial Tunnel and crosses Vail Pass. You will text guests your number before their flight lands, meet them at Island 1 at Denver International, and help with their luggage and ski gear.

Pay:

$25 to $35 per hour, including tips, depending on the season and the shift. The winter months carry most of the volume, and the weeks around the holidays and the big storms are where drivers earn the most.

Requirements:

• At least 25 years old, which is what our insurance requires.
• A valid driver's license and a five-year driving record with no major moving violations.
• No CDL required.
• Year-round residence in the Vail Valley or Summit County.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States.
• Confident driving in ice, snow, high winds, and low visibility.
• Availability for early mornings, late nights, weekends, and holidays through the ski season.

You don't need previous experience driving passengers. Several of our current drivers came to us from other industries. All applicants are subject to a background check and a motor vehicle record review.

The vehicles and how we operate:

Every vehicle in our fleet is a luxury SUV with all-wheel drive on studded winter tires, and each one carries a rooftop cargo box so skis and wet gear stay out of the cabin. We inspect the vehicles daily and refresh the fleet every season. We hold Colorado PUC authority and the permits required to operate at Denver International Airport, and we follow FMCSA Hours of Service rules so that nobody is driving this corridor tired.

When conditions call for slowing down, taking another route, or waiting out a storm, that decision is yours and dispatch will support it.

About Blue Sky Limo:

We are a family-owned company that has been running the I-70 corridor since 2012, and we've kept a perfect safety record over that time. The run you'd be driving is Blue Sky Limo's private shuttle between Denver Airport and Vail. It stays busy with skiers all winter and with hikers, cyclists, concert-goers, and wedding parties through the summer.
