Part-Time Bookkeeper

Schedule: Part-Time (20 hours/week) — Monday–Thursday, 7:00 AM–12:00 PM (In Office)

Outdoor Living is a growing landscaping, irrigation, and property maintenance company serving commercial and residential clients across South Georgia and North Florida. Our team focuses on delivering high-quality service while maintaining strong operational discipline and accountability. As we continue to grow, we are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented bookkeeper to help manage the day-to-day financial transactions of the business.

Outdoor Living is seeking a part-time Bookkeeper to manage daily bookkeeping functions and maintain accurate financial records. This role focuses strictly on transactional accounting including accounts payable, accounts receivable, job costing support, and transaction entry.

This is an in-office position and ideal for someone who enjoys working with numbers, maintaining organized records, and supporting a growing business. The position reports directly to company leadership.

• Enter vendor invoices into the accounting system
• Code expenses to the appropriate accounts (COGS, supplies, tools, etc.)
• Match vendor invoices with purchase orders when applicable
• Maintain vendor records and payment terms
• Prepare weekly vendor payment lists
• Process vendor payments once approved

• Generate and send customer invoices
• Apply customer payments to the correct invoices
• Maintain accurate customer billing records
• Monitor aging reports and flag past‑due accounts

• Enter company credit card transactions
• Match receipts to credit card charges
• Code expenses to correct accounts and jobs
• Follow up with team members for missing receipts

• Assign expenses to the appropriate job, property, or project
• Ensure materials and subcontractor costs are linked to the correct job
• Review uncategorized transactions and maintain accurate job costing

• Match bank feed transactions to accounting entries
• Match credit card transactions to receipts and invoices
• Identify and resolve unmatched or duplicate transactions
• Bill recurring maintenance clients monthly
• Enter project progress billing when provided
• Record customer payments and deposits

• Maintain organized financial records in the accounting system
• Ensure transactions include clear descriptions for internal reference
• Maintain accurate customer and vendor information

• Previous bookkeeping or accounting experience preferred
• Experience with Quick Books (Online or Desktop) strongly preferred
• Strong attention to detail and organization
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain accuracy
• Comfortable working with spreadsheets and accounting systems
• Reliable and able to work independently
