Sr. Cost Accountant – Manufacturing (SAP S/4

HANA required)

Location:

Valdosta, GA
On‑site (Monday‑Friday)
Compensation: $120,000‑140,000/year

The Sr. Cost Accountant oversees end‑to‑end cost accounting, inventory valuation, and manufacturing cost control for a high‑volume glass production facility. This role partners closely with operations, supply chain and finance leadership to ensure accurate costing, strong inventory controls and actionable insights that improve efficiency and margins.

• Product Costing & Standards
  • Maintain and update standard costs for materials and production processes within SAP S4 Hana
  • Review BOMs and routings for accuracy
  • Support new product costing and margin analysis
• Inventory & Manufacturing Accounting
  • Ensure accurate valuation of raw materials, WIP and finished goods
  • Lead cycle counts and investigate discrepancies
• Cost Variance Analysis
  • Analyze material, labor and overhead variances
  • Deliver insights to operations to improve performance
• Month‑End Close
  • Prepare inventory journal entries and reconciliations
  • Support overall close activities
  • Maintain cost structures and master data within SAP S4 Hana
  • Ensure system accuracy and data integrity

• Education:
  
  Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (Required)
• CPA or CMA preferred
• 7+ years of cost accounting—standard costing, variance analysis, inventory accounting (Required)
• SAP (S/4
  
  HANA) experience is required and implementation experience (Required)
• Advanced Excel preferred
• Manufacturing industry preferred
• Must be able to commute daily on‑site to Valdosta, GA (Monday‑Friday); open to candidates interested in relocation
