POSITION SUMMARY:The K-8
Receptionist provides red carpet customer service by warmly greeting and assisting visitors, staff, and students while managing attendance records and providing administrative support. They ensure accurate record-keeping, handle calls and inquiries professionally, and support the efficient daily operations of the school.
EXPERIENCE:
HS Diploma or GED required;
Associate/Vocational/Technical degree in related field preferred; 1-3 years of related experience preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Greet and assist visitors, ensuring a welcoming and professional environment with red carpet customer service.
- Manage the main telephone line for the school by receiving and addressing front desk telephone calls.
- Manage visitor check-in and check-out procedures, ensuring security protocols are followed.
- Collect and enter daily student attendance data as directed by the administrative team.
- When necessary, generate and distribute daily attendance reports to relevant staff and administrators.
- Contact parents/guardians regarding student absences when necessary.
- Monitoring/entering teacher and staff daily attendance in the YOSS time tracker.
- Verify and submit monthly timesheets to the central office for pay by the established deadlines as directed by the administrative team.
- Distribute in-house and by postal mail to appropriate recipients.
- Manage incoming and outgoing correspondence, ensuring timely distribution and response.
- Assist in maintaining student information, including updating contacts and processing changes in address or telephone numbers.
- Assist with the onboarding and withdrawal of students in collaboration with the Registrar, as directed by the administrative team.
- Assist the Registrar in the preparation of progress reports, report cards, and honor roll lists as directed; to ensure accuracy and timely distribution.
- Assist in scanning and sending educational records to schools and state agencies when requested.
- Type letters, memos, and forms for the principal and school administration when requested.
- Assist with organizing and maintaining the office filing system.
- Take minutes during various meetings as requested.
- Perform other related tasks as assigned by the principal and other central office administrators as designated by the Superintendent.
- Proficiency in using administrative software (Infinite Campus)
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Google Apps (Google Docs, Sheets, Drive), along with Microsoft products, including Word and Excel.
- General bookkeeping skills, including handling financial transactions and maintaining accurate records.
- Knowledge of Georgia's educational regulations and guidelines.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to maintain a positive and inclusive school environment.
- Proficiency in using technology for administrative tasks and record-keeping.

- Must perform routine physical activities such as bending, lifting/pushing/pulling up to 30 pounds.
- Vision, hearing, written, and verbal communications are essential factors in performing required tasks.
