Job Summary

The Associate Director of Recruitment serves as a key leader in the Office of Undergraduate Admissions by assisting the Director in the development and implementation of a strategic and collaborative recruitment plan. The Associate Director is responsible for leading recruitment team members to meet enrollment goals through the recruitment and enrollment of all new undergraduate students, including first‑year, dual‑enrolled, transfer, international, nondegree, and former students.

The Associate Director provides collaborative leadership, exceptional communication, technological expertise, and a commitment to students and education. This position is responsible for leading the creation of electronic communications and print materials, and assists heavily in recruitment event planning and execution.

Responsibilities
  • LEAD THE UNDERGRADUATE ADMISSIONS RECRUITMENT STAFF
    :
    Supervise four Assistant Directors to include Freshman Recruitment, Regional Recruitment, Dual Enrollment, and Admissions Communications. Provide strategic and daily work direction for recruitment staff, hire, train, supervise, evaluate, and provide ongoing development and mentorship for staff members, student employees, and volunteers. Approve recruitment travel plans and budgets. Ensure staff are performing to their highest ability to meet goals and complete tasks/projects in a timely manner.

    Serve as a champion for exceptional student and family service in the recruitment and process.
  • DEVELOP AND IMPLEMENT RECRUITMENT STRATEGIES TO MEET NEW STUDENT ENROLLMENT GOALS
    :
    Set data‑informed, strategic recruitment plans that align with best practices and institutional priorities. Develop and execute a territory management model of recruitment with program‑specific yield conversion plans. Assess the effectiveness of recruitment strategies and make appropriate adjustments to meet goals while ensuring they align with institutional goals for unique student populations and academic quality.
