Job OverviewThe College of Allied Health Sciences at Augusta University is seeking a faculty member at the rank of Assistant Professor or Associate Professor to support the Occupational Therapy program through course development, instruction, mentorship of graduate students, and ongoing professional development. Tenure status will be determined at hire.
Key Responsibilities- Teaching (70%) – course design and delivery, use of online platforms, mentoring and supervising graduate student research projects, and student success activities.
- Scholarship (20%) – principal investigator or co‑investigator on research projects, collaboration with departmental, college, joint university, and external partners, dissemination of scholarly work through publications and presentations.
- Service (10%) – participation in departmental, college, university, and professional committees and task groups; academic advising for assigned MHS OT students.
- Earned Doctoral Degree.
- Georgia State Board of Occupational Therapy license or eligibility for licensure.
- NBCOT certification.
- Assistant Professor – 0–4 years of related academic experience.
- Associate Professor – at least 5 years at Assistant Professor rank or comparable training.
- Evidence of teaching, scholarship, and relevant service activities.
- 3+ years clinical experience as an occupational therapist – community-based, school-based, assistive technology, or research.
- Demonstrated excellence in teaching, scholarship, and professional service.
Salary is commensurate with education, experience, and achievements and subject to availability of funds. Employment Conditions- Full‑time commitment (100%).
