Clinical Rotation Supervisor – School of Medicine, Academic Affairs
Location:
Valdosta, GA 31602 (additional locations may be considered)

- Manage the 3rd and 4th year programs; supervise clerkship and post‑clerkship coordinators to ensure effective service to students and administrative support for clinical faculty.
- Coordinate the clinical education program for third‑ and fourth‑year medical students, including student schedule coordination, scheduling and proctoring of all third‑year NBME exams.
- Collect, distribute, and analyze student grade reports for students, faculty, and committees.
- Provide orientation and hospital‑specific training for students, arrange and verify records for visiting students.
- Act as point of contact for students and clinical preceptors with Mercer University School of Medicine (MUSM).
- Contribute to the Clerkship Manuals and Electives Catalog in written and web‑based formats.
- Serve as ex‑officio member of the Clerkship Directors Sub‑Committee and 4th‑Year Sub‑Committee of the Curriculum and Instruction Committee; maintain related records.
- Liaise between MUSM, medical schools, hospitals, and physician offices.
- Supervise maintenance of the student lounge and facilities; work with Year3 Program Director on 3rd‑year curriculum and with Year4 Program Director on 4th‑year curriculum.
- Assist with content input and management in the learning management system and master grade reporting in One
45 and Excel. - Serve as Chief Proctor for internal program exams and NBME exams; train, oversee, and schedule staff proctors in accordance with NBME protocols.
- Manage relationships with administrators, faculty, and staff; manage credentialing and serve as primary contact for students and clinical preceptors.
- Travel to hospital and off‑site clinics as required.
- Facilitate, resource, and serve as contact for students, faculty, and staff in 3rd‑ and 4th‑year programs and in all specific clerkships, including orientation, NBME proctoring, and OSCEs.
- Forge and maintain strong working relationships with Academic Affairs and committees, supporting clerkship staff and faculty across campuses.
- Bachelor’s degree with at least one year of administrative office experience leading teams; equivalent education/experience combination acceptable.
- Valid driver’s license to accommodate travel requirements.
- Advanced Excel skills for managing academic and curricular databases.
- Capacity to organize and prioritize workloads, meet deadlines under high pressure.
- Ability to learn, instruct, and manage various software platforms (One
45, Canvas, Exam Soft, etc.). - Maintain confidentiality of academic records and communications.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Word and Excel.
- Strong verbal and written communication with internal and external organizations.
- Detail oriented and highly organized to achieve successful project outcomes.
- Criminal History Required
