Preschool Teacher

Bemiss Academy Preschool, Inc. is hiring a Preschool Teacher (3yrs-4yrs Olds) in Valdosta, GA

We are seeking a passionate, energetic and dedicated Preschool Teacher to join our team. You will create a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment for children aged 3 and early 4-year-olds. A Preschool teachers main duties include teaching children about basic fundamentals and learning domains such as physical development, social development, approaches to play/learning, language and literacy, early math skills, art, and sciences, and keeping the classroom clean and safe for all students.

• A positive approach to learning and gaining new skills through teamwork and training opportunities
• This is a full time position;
  Monday through Friday, 35-40 hours/week.

• Establish and enforce rules of behavior for children in their classrooms
• Provide tools and resources for children to use and explore during learning and play activities
• Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet the interests and learning styles of children
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with children and parents
• Manage classroom activities including lessons plans, play, breaks, and meals
• Track children’s progress and report to admin staff
• Maintain a clean and tidy classroom
• Collaborate with others to implement lesson plans
• Encourage children to interact with each other to develop social skills
• Provide appropriate supervision for children at all times
• Maintain inventory system for classroom materials and supplies
• Facilitate various activities for children, including songs, games, and storytelling
• Adhere to health/safety and sanitation procedures

• Must pass a Bright From the Start Background Check
• Be able to lift small children and physically agile
