Part-Time Instructor - Biology

Job Summary

Selected candidate will teach undergraduate courses in biology, anatomy, physiology, microbiology, and natural history.

• Teach in-person undergraduate lecture and lab courses.
• Deliver course content and assessment aligned with departmental standards.
• Engage and support students in the classroom.

• Master's degree in the appropriate field.
• Demonstrated commitment to excellence in teaching and learning.

• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative setting.
• Record of mentoring students.

Commensurate with experience.

• Successful background check, including criminal and credit checks.
• Reference checks.
• Successful completion of a Motor Vehicle Report, pre-employment drug testing, and confirmation of credentials.

• New employee orientation.
• Annual compliance training covering ethics, conflict of interest, drug-free workplace, sexual misconduct and Title IX, FERPA, motor vehicle policy, worker's compensation (new hires), and Georgia Open Records Act (new hires).
• USG cybersecurity training required twice yearly, including job-specific training such as FMLA, worker's compensation, budget manager, purchasing, and defensive driving.
