Job Description:Under general supervision, will provide instruction to students in Political Science courses on the Valdosta Campus and at high schools in our service area as required; prepare lesson plans for classroom and online instruction for credited arts and sciences courses; develop program curriculum, syllabi, goals, and objectives; and evaluate students’ progress in attaining goals and objectives. Prepare and maintain all required documentation and administrative reports;
attend professional development training, workshops, seminars, and conferences; ensure safety and security requirements are met in the discipline area; meet with students, staff members and other educators to discuss students’ instructional programs and other issues; assist with recruitment, retention and job placement efforts. Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal and organizational skills.

- Equipment Used:
Standard office equipment, Regular use of college owned or personal vehicle for performance of duties. - Working Conditions:
Category III - No foreseen exposure to hazardous chemicals/pathogens. Probability of working beyond the normal shift, but not frequently. Periodic travel between major Wiregrass campuses and satellite sites.
Master's Degree or higher in Political Science or Master's Degree with 18 graduate hours in Political Science
* from an academic institution that is accredited by an institutional accrediting agency recognized by the United States Department of Education.
* Education courses related to the teaching of Political Science are not considered discipline specific in meeting this requirement. Coursework must be in Political Science or closely related discipline aligned to course competencies.
