The Department of Management and Marketing in the Langdale College of Business Administration seeks applicants for a tenure track faculty position beginning August 1, 2027 (A starting date of January 1, 2027, may be considered.). The selected candidate will be responsible for teaching coursesin the candidate's area of expertise, maintaining scholarly productivity, and participating in service at the department, college, and university levels.
The Langdale College of Business Administration programs are accredited by AACSB, placing the College among the top 5% of business colleges worldwide. The faculty in the Department of Management and Marketing cultivates a learning environment that emphasizes experiential learning, fosters critical thinking, and equips students with the creative and analytical abilities necessary for career success. Hence, our primary emphasis lies in recruiting faculty members who uphold this exceptional level of excellence in teaching and whose research is characterized by novelty and applicability.
Theresponsibilities of the position support the mission and goals of the Langdale College of Business Administration and the Department of Management and Marketing including:
- Teaching undergraduate and graduate courses. Teaching assignments will be based on departmental needs and SACSCOC/AACSB Faculty Credentials Guidelines.
- Engaging in quality scholarly activities consistent with AACSB accreditation.
- Actively participating in various departmental, college, and university activities, including participating in student org activities such as AMA VSU chapter.
Teaching and scholarship - 80%
Teaches classes and conducts/presents research in the employee's academic discipline.
Service - 20%
Participates in service at the department, college, and university levels.
