Risk Management Specialist

Job Title

Job duties include:

Providing senior level guidance, direction, and assistance on regional risk management activities within the area of responsibility for the Regional Office.

Serving as technical advisor to the Director with primary responsibility for providing program analysis and evaluation in direct support of the RO functions and responsibilities.

Providing guidance and support to RO staff administering underwriting standards, and performing, reviewing, and re-determining actuarial and underwriting decisions made by RO staff or deliverers of crop insurance.

Providing guidance to RO staff in the review and evaluation of existing and new crop programs, policies, and procedures.

Researching and monitoring crop production, farming practices, and trends, to ensure RMA procedures and policies remain current with modern agricultural practices.
