Full Time, 8 HR Day Shift, Days with some weekends
Responsible for the management of Patient Access Services at South Georgia Medical Center, SGMC Berrien, SGMC Lanier and SGMC Outpatient Plaza for the following business units:
Emergency Care, Outpatient Services, Admissions, Youth Care, Pre-Admissions and Centralized Scheduling. Responsibilities include patient registrations, insurance verification, pre-certification, point of service coding, patient scheduling, and data entry. These responsibilities include the monitoring and development of policy and procedures, information systems, personnel training (enterprise wide), and the attainment of departmental goals.
- Experience in Business Management, Finance or Nursing is required.
- Must have at least four years of progressive related experience in Patient Access Management to include a working knowledge of pertinent laws and regulatory requirements.
- Individual will possess an extensive background in personal computer applications.
Business setting. Moderate to high stress. Risk of exposure to blood and body fluids.
