JOB LOCATION : Main Campus

DEPARTMENT: SGA ENGINEERING

SCHEDULE: Full Time, Varied Hours/Shift, Various Hours

Performs a variety of duties in and around the buildings of the hospital complex to assist the tradesmen and other workmen in completing their tasks; repairs and maintains machinery. Performs other duties as assigned.

Requires graduate of a vocational program having plumbing, heating, electrical and refrigeration courses or equivalent OJT equal to five years or more general maintenance mechanic work.

Duties require considerable physical effort; constant standing, walking, lifting up to 75 pounds, with irregular periods of concentration. Considerable mental effort, ability to organize and manage in a high stress environment. Close review of work necessary to prevent equipment damage and for safety sake. Irregular conditions with the possibility of irregular schedules including weekends, exposure to certain levels of stress and subject to injury such as burns, cuts, and bruises.
