Reporting to the Assistant Vice President for Foundations & CFO for Foundations and Philanthropy & Alumni Engagement, the Director of Foundations Finance requires the skill of an exceptional, hardworking leader with demonstrated success to execute on the organization’s mission. Guided by the AVP/CFO and the organization’s strategic plan, the Director provides the leadership, management, and oversight necessary to the Foundations Finance & Accounting staff to ensure that the Foundations have the appropriate financial and operational controls, reporting procedures, and systems in place to support growth while maintaining excellence and ensuring financial reliability and operating efficiency.

The Director will oversee all finance‑related functions for the Augusta University Foundation and will serve as key support to the AVP/CFO in overseeing the finance‑related functions for the Augusta University Real Estate Foundation and the Augusta University Real Estate Corporation. Additionally, the Director will serve as a representative of the Foundations in finance‑related matters with all of Augusta University’s constituency groups.

Oversee the Finance & Accounting staff to ensure all departmental goals and objectives are met. Ensure proper maintenance of all accounting systems, account and fund balances, records, and function. Ensure maintenance of appropriate internal controls and financial procedures. Make recommendations regarding Foundations policies and procedures.

Ensure timeliness, accuracy, and usefulness of financial and management reporting for corporate, foundation, federal, and state funders and the Foundation boards; oversee the preparation and communication of monthly and annual financial statements.
