Position SummaryMonitors dairy plant production processes such as milk receiving, separation standardization, pasteurization, batching by following Standard Operating Procedures and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs). Ensures all paperwork is accurate, verifies charts and temperature recordings, troubleshoots and resolves basic to moderate operating difficulties, and communicates any problems that may impact production efficiency or food safety. Follows required safety practices, observes confined space safety guidelines, wears required personal protective equipment, monitors chemical handling, fall restraints, and maintains sanitation of equipment (CIP) and hand cleaning.
Supports Continuous Improvement by maintaining process data and equipment performance data to improve quality and throughput, operating and cleaning equipment at recommended speeds, and monitoring fats, total solids, allergens, and cryoscopes to ensure quality and efficiencies. Completes work assignments and priorities by using policies, data, and resources, collaborates with managers, coworkers, customers, and other partners, identifies priorities, deadlines, and expectations, communicates progress, and determines and recommends ways to address improvement opportunities while adapting to change.
Complies with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity, implements action plans using the open door policy, and applies these in executing business processes and practices.
- 1 year’s experience in a distribution or production environment (e.g., logistics, supply chain, dairy plant, food processing, or manufacturing).
- Continuous Improvement, Distribution, Food – Dairy Processing, Food – Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP), Manufacturing, Six Sigma.
