Regulatory Compliance Specialist, Food Production, Operations Management
What You'll Do
- Collaborate with the Production Scheduler to develop weekly production plans and ensure adequate material availability for production lines.
- Lead and develop Shift Supervisors while monitoring plant performance to meet daily production and business goals.
- Work with the Maintenance team to prioritize tasks and identify suitable work windows for production areas.
- Support associate‑driven improvement teams focused on production by working with the Continuous Improvement team.
- Ensure compliance with Safety and Food Safety regulations across all production areas (facility, equipment, and personnel) to maintain a safe work environment, produce wholesome products, and maintain audit readiness.
- Coordinate, complete, and oversee job‑related activities and assignments by developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, supporting plans and initiatives to meet customer and business needs, identifying and communicating goals and objectives, building accountability and measuring progress, identifying and addressing improvement opportunities, and demonstrating adaptability and promoting continuous learning.
- Provide supervision and development opportunities for associates through hiring and training, mentoring, assigning duties, providing recognition, and ensuring diversity awareness.
- Bachelor’s degree in biochemistry, food science, engineering, business management, or related area and 5+ years’ experience in progressive leadership roles in a manufacturing environment; or 10+ years’ experience in manufacturing, food processing or dairy processing.
- Nice to have: 10+ years’ experience in Safe Quality Foods (SQF) or other Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) formats, Clean in Place/Clean Out of Place (CIP/COP) and other sanitation equipment, writing and maintaining standard operating procedures, or writing and maintaining Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures.
