Job Description:This position is a full time faculty position in the Associate of Science in Nursing Program on the Ben Hill-Irwin and Coffee campus locations. The instructor shall primarily be responsible for instructional preparation and teaching nursing courses at the Associate of Science in Nursing degree level in the classroom, clinical and laboratory settings. The instructor will prepare lesson plans for classroom instruction, coordinate lab and clinical experiences, assist with the development of program curriculum, syllabi, goals, and objectives, advise students, and evaluate students’ progress in attaining goals and outcomes.
The instructor will assist with and maintain programmatic accreditation requirements as appropriate, and assist with recruitment, retention, and job placement efforts. This position may include variable hours, including weekend clinical supervision of students. This position does require travel between campuses.

Standard office equipment, Regular use of college owned or personal vehicle for performance of duties, Various types of advanced in-field equipment as required by academic program and accreditation standards.Working Conditions:
Category I - High probability of exposure to hazardous chemicals/pathogens. Probability of working beyond the normal shift, but not frequently. Periodic travel between major Wiregrass campuses and satellite sites.
Must have a current, unrestricted and unencumbered Georgia RN license, a Master’s degree in Nursing from a regionally accredited institution OR a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing and actively enrolled and pursuing a Master’s degree in Nursing that will be completed within 18 months of hire; a minimum of (3) three years experience as an RN within the past (7) seven years;
must be current with all health and CPR requirements.
In addition to meeting all other minimum qualifications, the highly desired candidate will possess one or more of the following: teaching experience in an Associate Degree Nursing program; experience with ACEN programmatic accreditation; evidence of medical-surgical nursing clinical competency in nursing practice
