Job SummaryThe Associate Project Manager supports the Project Manager in the daily administration and execution of the grounds maintenance contract while serving as the contract's Quality Control Coordinator. This position helps ensure compliance with contract requirements, quality standards, environmental programs, safety regulations, and Government performance expectations.
Essential Functions- Assist the Project Manager with daily contract operations and workforce coordination.
- Serve as alternate point of contact in the absence of the Project Manager.
- Implement and administer the contract Quality Control Plan.
- Conduct routine inspections of completed work to verify compliance with contract standards.
- Document deficiencies, track corrective actions, and verify resolution.
- Prepare quality assurance reports and performance documentation.
- Coordinate contract audits, inspections, and Government reviews.
- Support environmental compliance, EMS requirements, and HAZMAT documentation processes.
- Maintain records related to quality control, training, certifications, inspections, and corrective actions.
- Assist with employee training on quality standards, safety requirements, and environmental procedures.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and operational efficiencies.
- Provide on-going training for staff and follow-up support.
- Observe and identify the need for training to ensure a safe and productive environment.
- Provide training in the use and maintenance of equipment, utilization of supplies, and the basic skills needed to meet contract requirements.
- Make employment recommendations to Management (such as hiring, promotion, termination, disciplinary, recognition, and appraisals).
- Associate degree preferred; equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted.
- Minimum two (2) years of experience in project coordination, supervision, quality assurance, quality control, contract administration, or a related field.
- Experience in grounds maintenance, landscaping, facilities maintenance, or related operations preferred.
- Must possess a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Must pass all required pre-employment screenings, including drug, background, and motor vehicle record (MVR) screenings.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain Government approval and installation access required for contract performance.
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
- Must be available to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends, as required.
- Experience supporting federal service contracts or military installations.
- Experience developing, implementing, or administering Quality Control Plans (QCPs).
- Experience conducting quality inspections, operational audits, or performance assessments.
- Knowledge of OSHA, HAZMAT, Environmental Management Systems (EMS), and environmental compliance requirements.
- Experience using computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS), work order management systems, or contract management software.
- OSHA 10-Hour certification or other relevant safety training.
- Knowledge of quality control processes, inspection procedures, and contract compliance requirements.
- Knowledge of grounds maintenance, landscaping, or facilities maintenance operations.
- Skill in conducting inspections, evaluating performance, and documenting results.
- Skill in preparing reports, maintaining records, and utilizing Microsoft Office Suite applications.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present information clearly and respond professionally to inquiries, concerns, and customer needs.
- Ability to identify issues, evaluate facts, draw sound conclusions, and recommend corrective actions.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, perform administrative tasks, and maintain attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision and collaboratively with Government representatives, subcontractors, and contract personnel.
Regular local travel to the buildings supported on base and to BAC Corporate office.
Work Authorization/Security Clearance (If applicable)Must be authorized to access and work on government installations.
Physical RequirementsRequirements will vary depending on assigned duties. This position requires the ability to perform office and field activities, including site inspections and quality control evaluations.
