Packer Handler Night Shift

Purpose:

The Molding Packer is responsible for inspecting products for defects and packing quality products according to work instructions.

• Visually inspect product and identify non‑conformities.
• Pack quality product into boxes according to customer specifications and Berry quality guidelines.
• Immediately place non‑conforming product into scrap bins.
• Read travelers and compare labels for accuracy.
• Prepare packaging in accordance with traveler instructions.
• Perform repetitive motion work with hands.
• Communicate quality questions with relevant personnel.
• Maintain a clean and organized work station.
• Read travelers and complete required paperwork.
• Pack lids or containers from any assigned machine.
• Identify required supplies each day and locate them.
• Report safety concerns or problems to the Group Leader.
• Support food safety and regulatory responsibilities, notifying management of potential food safety issues.

• Ability to read travelers and complete paperwork.
• Knowledge of daily supply needs and procurement.
• Ability to communicate with quality personnel.

• Lift up to 35 pounds over the head.
• Walk and/or stand for up to 12 hours per day.
• Work near moving mechanical parts.
• Use personal protective equipment: safety glasses, ear plugs, bump caps, beard/hair nets, steel‑toed shoes; additional PPE as needed.

12‑hour schedule with rotations: two days on, two days off, three days on, two days off, etc.
