Laboratory Technician AFODC

Shift: Day or Night Shift – Final shift will be determined based on staffing needs

Schedule: Must be flexible to work days or nights, weekends, holidays, scheduled overtime, and emergency overtime when required.

• Prepare process and finished-product samples for laboratory analysis.
• Perform analytical testing using instrumental and wet chemistry procedures.
• Conduct daily process-monitoring tests throughout the plant as assigned.
• Enter and report laboratory results using Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS).
• Maintain accurate and timely records of all laboratory testing and results.
• Maintain tested product samples for confirmation or additional testing when required.
• Promptly communicate test results and notify operations when process adjustments are needed.
• Develop an understanding of production processes and provide recommendations to operators when appropriate to support product quality.
• Operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and perform light maintenance/calibration on laboratory equipment.
• Work with standard laboratory equipment such as pH meters, balances, and spectrophotometers.
• Compare equipment readings against standards to verify accurate operation.
