Job Summary

Dr. Redouane Aherrahrou’s lab at the IMMCG applies in-silico, in-vitro, and in-vivo methods to unravel the genetics of cardiovascular diseases using large datasets and collaborations with networks such as CARDIoGRAMplus

C4D and Leducq. The lab focuses on GWAS, molecular QTL, precision medicine, and single-cell modalities to understand disease mechanisms.

Responsibilities
  • Apply bioinformatics and computational biology methods, including GWAS, single-cell RNA & ATAC‑seq, and CRISPR screening.
  • Research genetics and biology of cardiovascular disease.
  • Collaborate with computational and wet-lab biologists to elucidate mechanisms.
  • Prepare written and oral presentations of results for the team and the public.
  • Supervise staff and students.
  • Maintain and organize large amounts of genetic data and summary statistics.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
  • Ph.D. degree from an accredited college or university.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Ph.D. in computational biology, bioinformatics, genomics, or related field.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and related software/databases.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Capacity to maintain confidentiality.
Shift / Salary / Benefits

Shift: Days;
Monday - Friday (may require work outside normal business hours). Salary commensurate with qualifications within the established range. Position is funded through external sources; continued employment depends on availability of funds. Recruitment period:
Until Filled.
