Salesperson​/Store Driver Store

Advance Auto Parts is looking for entry-level sales and store driver positions to support our DIY retail and delivery operations. Applicants must be fleet safety certified and able to work flexible hours.

• Provide excellent selling experience for DIY customer visits and phone calls.
• Achieve personal sales goal and help store achieve its sales goals.
• Provide DIY services including battery installation, testing, wiper installs.
• Maintain store product and operational standards.
• Responsible for inventory processes including truck put away, shoot outs, cycle counts, back stock.

• 2-3 years of successful sales experience in a diverse retail environment.
• Basic automotive system knowledge and parts catalog reading.
• Basic math skills and ability to work evenings, weekends.
• English speaking and writing (Spanish a plus).
• Fleet safety certification preferred.

• Safely deliver parts to customers as needed.
• Pick and stage parts for customer orders.
• Pick up returns and cores.
• Drop off weekly/monthly sales flyers.
• Daily collection of credit accounts.

• Valid driver’s license and fleet safety certification.
• Automotive parts experience preferred.
• Basic math and inventory system familiarity.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.

• Basic driving and navigation ability.
• Use delivery board system.
• Friendly communication.
• Locate and stock parts.
• Safety knowledge and skills.
• Operating inventory systems and store equipment.
• Parts and automotive system knowledge.
• Operating POS and parts lookup systems.
• Expert at testing and diagnostic equipment for DIY service.

Employees must be able to walk or stand, lift up to 50 pounds frequently and occasionally up to 100 pounds. Tasks require reaching, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling. Vision required: close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception.

Work inside most days; occasional exposure to outside weather, moving mechanical parts, high places, chemicals, electrical shock, vibration. Noise level is moderate.
