Position Summary
As a Senior Meat Cutter you will drive sales in your area to deliver to our members more of what they love, for less. You will work collaboratively with other associates to ensure the total club meets the member’s expectations.
Responsibilities- Team Member:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams and help educate other associates on tools, tasks, and resources; communicate effectively and develop interpersonal skills for providing customer service, be flexible to the needs of the business, track goods, maintain in-stock levels, and control shrinkage. - Expert:
Maintain an in-depth knowledge of the various types and seasonality of different meat products, equipment usage and backroom operations; provide meat products to members by processing meat according to specifications (cutting, slicing, grinding, wrapping) ensuring compliance with food safety standards, sanitation guidelines, and inventory management. - Techie:
Leverage digital tools to drive sales, improve the shopping experience, and elevate associate engagement; utilize handheld technology to make immediate business decisions related to production, training, and product quality with the member in mind; adapt to new tools and encourage others to use them. - Owner:
Drive the business results ensuring commitment to operational excellence; plan for profitability; maintain a work area according to company policies and procedures; ensure quality and standards for high-volume meat products; eliminate waste; secure fragile and high-shrink merchandise; assist members with purchasing decisions and ensure merchandise is properly packaged, labeled, and stored. - Talent Ambassador:
Advocate for the department and the club by valuing the member’s experience in the meat area; model high-quality service and products; execute the basics at the highest possible level of quality; interact with associates to understand roadblocks and assist in training them to perform job-related duties as assigned. - Compliance:
Comply with company policies, procedures and standards of ethics and integrity; implement related action plans using the Open Door Policy and apply these in executing business processes and practices. - Work Priorities:
