What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
  • Manage day-to-day sales activities and overall relationships with cabinet and furniture manufacturers, as well as residential and commercial woodworkers
  • Engage in structured consultative sales discussions, both in-person and virtually, serving as a business advisor to customers
  • Utilize CRM software to track daily activities, optimize sales calls, and follow up on customer requests
  • Conduct regular field visits to customers, requiring travel three to four days per week
  • Perform occasional lifting or moving of materials up to 50 lbs.
What is Required (Qualifications):
  • Experience in sales, preferably in outside sales within the building materials or construction industries
  • Knowledge or experience in building materials, bathroom or kitchen cabinetry, closets, or millwork is preferred
  • Highly motivated with the ability to self‑direct, manage time, and plan effectively
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Must possess independent, reliable transportation for regular travel to customer locations
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
  • Previous experience in consultative sales within the construction or building materials sector
  • Familiarity with CRM systems and sales tracking software
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for building customer relationships
  • Ability to adapt to various customer needs and provide tailored solutions
