Position SummaryUnder the direction of the Biomedical Director, the Biomedical Supervisor will ensure biomedical devices meet regulatory requirements and quality standards, lead and provide day‑to‑day guidance to a team of biomedical technicians, and collaborate with the team to maintain accurate records of equipment repairs, preventative maintenance, recalls, and inspections. The Biomedical Supervisor will communicate effectively with clinical staff to resolve operational issues, ensure planned maintenance on medical equipment is performed in accordance with established guidelines, and monitor, resolve, and appropriately elevate equipment issues.
This role will also manage the service request calls and tickets process from scheduling through completion, and conduct inventory inspections and request necessary parts, supplies and instruments for self and team use.
- Ensure biomedical devices meet regulatory requirements and quality standards.
- Lead and provide day‑to‑day guidance to a team of biomedical technicians.
- Collaborate with team to maintain accurate records of equipment repairs, preventative maintenance, recalls, and inspections.
- Communicate effectively with clinical staff to resolve operational issues.
- Ensure planned maintenance on medical equipment is performed in accordance with established guidelines.
- Monitor, resolve, and appropriately elevate equipment issues.

- Conduct inventory inspections and request necessary parts, supplies and instruments for self and team use.
- Associate’s degree in biomedical electronics, electronic technology, or related field preferred; equivalent experience or relevant military training may substitute.
- 5 to 7 years of experience performing medical equipment maintenance required; experience leading a team preferred.
- Active Certified Biomedical Equipment Technician (CBET) Certification preferred.
- Proficiency in using hand tools and field‑specific test equipment.
- Understanding of relevant regulations related to the biomedical and health‑care industries.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Basic understanding of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Self‑starter who thrives in a collaborative, fast‑paced environment.
- Computer proficiency (Microsoft Office Suite) and ability to read schematics and drawings.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds unassisted.
- Require physical abilities such as walking, sitting, stooping, bending and standing.
- Position may require working weekends and nights and travel between campuses and clinic locations.
- A valid Driver’s License for the state of Georgia is required.
