Overview
Elite Construction is seeking a Lead Residential/ Commercial Journeyman Electrician to assist with our commercial and residential projects in the Valdosta/ Thomasville/ Tifton area.
We are seeking a reliable Residential Electrician to perform installations, maintenance, and repairs of electrical systems in residential settings. We offer consistent, year-round work, competitive pay, and opportunities for career growth for the right candidate.
Must have a driver’s license and a car (no exceptions). Hard working and dependable need only apply.
Must be able to work on-call when needed.
Must be able to work some weekends.
LEAD Commercial/ Industrial Electrician
We are looking for a team player.
Responsibilities- Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair residential electrical systems and components, including wiring, fixtures, and panels.
- Identify electrical problems using testing devices and diagnostic tools.
- Ensure all work meets local and National Electrical Code (NEC) standards.
- Read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and manuals to complete projects accurately.
- Provide excellent customer service, clearly explaining work performed to homeowners.
- Manage a company vehicle and maintain inventory of tools and materials (if applicable).
- Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures using hand tools and power tools.
- Troubleshoot all electric systems.
- Prepare sketches or follow blueprints to determine the location of wiring and equipment and to ensure conformance to building and safety codes.
- Plan layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment and fixtures, based on job specifications and local codes.
- Direct and train electricians to install, maintain, or repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures.
- Place and bend conduit inside designated partitions, walls, or other concealed areas, and pull insulated wires or cables through the conduit to complete circuits between boxes.
- Read and comprehend blueprints, specifications, and work site directions.
- Practice and comprehend safe work procedures.
- Run a commercial job site and maintain knowledge of job site safety.
- Keep track of any work requested or completed beyond scope/contract and report it to the supervisor before any extra work is performed.
- Must have a clean driving record and valid license; must have a valid Driver’s License and dependable transportation.
- Must be able to run a jobsite and a crew with no assistants.
- Must not have a DUI in the last 5 years.
- Must be able to work overtime when needed.
- Physical demands include repetitive motion, lifting up to 50 lbs, standing for long periods, and other exertions described (repetitive walking, bending, pushing, pulling, climbing, kneeling, reaching overhead).
- OSHA experience.
- Ability to install new wiring via MC cable or conduit; install receptacles, lighting systems and fixtures.
- Strong communication skills and neat appearance.

DetailsFull Time Position
Job Type: Full-time
Monday through Friday, 10 to 12 hour days with some weekend work.
Must be drug free.
Pay will be based on experience: $21.00-$26.00 per hour.
Must have a driver license and dependable car.
Must be able to work overtime when needed.
