Position: Experienced Combo Welder/ Pipe Fitter
Elite Construction is seeking an experienced reliable and competent Cobo WELDER/ Pipe Fitter/ to assist with our many commercial projects in and around our area.

Must have a driver's license and a car (no exceptions). Hard working and dependable need only apply!!

A Combo Welder is responsible for performing pipe welding procedures on Stainless Steel and Copper-Nickel pipe using Gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW), also known as tungsten inert gas (TIG) welding.

Welding S.S. Pipe TIG, Carbon Pipe TIG/Stick.

Skills Required:

Stainless & Carbon Steel pipe welding.

Must be skilled in Stick and Tig Welding, with a specialty in Tig Welding and Flux CoreMUST BE ABLE TO PASS WELDING TEST IN OUR SHOPWork is typically Monday - Thursday 7am - 5:30pm plus overtime (some weekends required) and out of town work required (home some weekends)

Position Requirements :

Applicants must have a minimum of three (3) years of experience in welding, knowledge of welding procedures, and various types of welding equipment, proficient in flat, vertical, overhead, and horizontal arc, SMAW and flux-core, tig welding and air arc skills.

Job Summary Welds a variety of metal surfaces or pipe using various types of welding equipment. Welds shell plating, fabricated cast or forged components according to specifications for vessels, tanks or other structural assemblies. Performs other related tasks as assigned, some of which may become essential to the position.

Disassembly, inspection of components, reports on damage, building of hydraulic cylinders, assembly of components and testing to insure proper operation. Candidates will be trained in the process that we do. Must be able to read blueprints. Helpful skills would be hydraulic work and maintenance experience. Conveyor belt repair and adjustment, wear parts replacement, crusher liner changes, and water pump service. Perform cutting, grinding, and welding as needed.

Prepare/Fit/& or Weld steel according to blueprints.

Maintain a clean work area

Wear Personal Protective Equipment (Safety glasses, mask/respirator, work gloves)
Read and understand Miscellaneous and Structural Steel Fabrication Drawings.

Read and Understand a tape measure - to the 1/16thWork off the shop drawing

Coordinate with other members on crew to ensure timely completion of projects

Take orders from Shop Foreman but also be able to work without guidance

Assist others with tasks as needed

Follow all OSHA and safety rules

Be able to identify different material & label as needed

Be able to travel when required

Pull field measurements

Full Time position with overtime and some travel when required

Must be able to pass drug test at all times!!

Pay depends on experience $24.00-$29.00

Must be able to pass on site welding test Looking for experienced and dependable help.

Must have dependable transportation!!

Must be able to be at work on time daily!

Welding: 2 years (Required)
