We are seeking an experienced Telecommunications Technician for commercial projects in the Valdosta, GA area. This position is responsible for the installation, termination, testing, troubleshooting, and maintenance of telecommunications and low-voltage systems in commercial construction and commercial client locations.
The ideal candidate is:- - mechanically inclined
- -comfortable working with hand tools and technology
- -takes pride in quality workmanship
- -Can work independently while maintaining a professional presence at either commercial business offices or construction sites.
This is a hands-on field position with opportunities to develop and expand your technical skills within the telecommunications and low-voltage industry.
Key Responsibilities:- Install and maintain cable pathways, supports, racks, patch panels, and related telecommunications equipment.
- Install, route, terminate, label, and test telecommunications and low-voltage and fiber optic cabling.
- Read and interpret floor plans.
Required:
- Reliable transportation and dependable attendance.
- Ability to work safely in construction and customer environments.
- Ability to use basic hand and power tools.
- Ability to climb ladders and work from elevated surfaces when required.
- Ability to lift, carry, and maneuver equipment and materials necessary to perform the job.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to follow instructions, safety procedures, and project specifications.
Will consider motivated candidates with limited industry experience who demonstrate aptitude, reliability, a strong work ethic, and a willingness to learn. Training may be provided for the right candidate.
