Elite Construction is seeking GENERAL LABOR CONSTRUCTION - CDL Driver to assist with our many commercial and local projects we have going on in our area.
Must Have A CDL
Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL): A Class A or B CDL (depending on the specific job requirements) with a clean driving record is a primary requirement. Safe Driving Practices
Expertise in operating large vehicles safely under various road and weather conditions is paramount. Heavy Equipment Operation:
Proficiency in operating equipment such as dump trucks, backhoes, front-end loaders, or forklifts, which may require specific certifications (like OSHA or NCCER). Basic Mechanical Knowledge:
The ability to perform routine maintenance, vehicle inspections (pre-trip and post-trip), and minor troubleshooting of equipment and trucks helps minimize downtime. Tool Operation:
Competence in using various hand and power tools, such as saws, drills, and grinders, safely and effectively. Load Securement & Handling:
Knowledge of proper lifting techniques and procedures for loading and unloading materials to ensure safe transport and prevent injury. Navigation & Route Planning:
The ability to plan routes efficiently, using GPS or maps, and adapt to unforeseen road changes.
Previous construction experience is preferred but will train the right individual. Great opportunity for hardworking, dedicated and reliable applicants.
This position requires the safe and efficient operation of various equipment including, but not limited to, loaders, backhoes, excavators, track hoes, loaders, and skid steers. Most days you will be working the yard/ physical labor.
We are looking for someone who is a team player and quick with problem solving. Will be a lot of cleaning up construction sites but plenty equipment operating and plen of room to move up. Need someone who is willing to put in the time and willing to grow and move up in the company.
Must have a driver's license and a car (no exceptions). Hard working and dependable need only apply!!
Assists level workers by performing specific or general duties of a lesser skill of the trade. These duties may include but not limited to:
- Makes safety the first priority and complies with all directives including OSHA, general contractors, company policies, and other state and local agencies.
- Knowledge of common powered tools.
- Skilled in working with a group of people to accomplish project deadlines and complex environments.
- Ability to demonstrate a focus on safety and wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses, gloves, hardhat, and other protective clothing.
- Ability to negotiate ladders including climbing up/down and remain stationary while conducting work.
- Ability to negotiate scaffolds and other elevated platforms from numerous levels of height.
- Ability to manipulate hand tools and other equipment with which may require both hands.
- Ability to stand continuously for a 12-hour shift and perform physically demanding activities to must exert in excess of 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or in excess of 50 pounds of force frequently and up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
Ability to run lawn mower
Works in a safe manner. Must be able to lift/push/pull up to and not limited to 50 pounds.
WORK ENVIRONMENTPerforming work at various heights. Exposed to weather conditions depending on the location and time of year. Performing work on uneven terrain, unfinished building structures, and general construction areas. Work occurs primarily on-site and may be indoors or outdoors. May involve heights, exposure to hot or cold weather, loud noises, dust and fumes.
Requirements:
Must pass a drug screening;
Must undergo a background check;
Will be expected to supply own steel-toed boots. MUST HAVE A CLEAN DRIVING RECORD!
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
· Repetitive motion of shoulders, arms, hands, wrists, and fingers.
· Lifting and maneuvering heavy objects up to 50 lbs.

FULL TIME Position
Overtime required
40 plus hours Monday thru Friday with weekend work
7:00 am - shift till 5:00 pm with some overtime
