CDL Driver & Counter Sales
Location:
Valdosta, GA - Retail shop
Inside Sales and Driver role selling medical, industrial and specialty gases, welding equipment, hard goods and tools. Support walk‑in and phone customers, handle payments and deliveries, and maintain safe vehicle operations.
Responsibilities- Vehicle Operation: Drive a CDL B truck to safely deliver products.
- Customer Connection: Assist walk‑in and phone customers, identify needs, locate merchandise.
- Transaction Stewardship: Process payments, enter sales, wrap and bag purchases, assist with loading.
- Safety First: Follow safety procedures for cylinder handling.
- Showroom Environment: Maintain a welcoming showroom.
- Delivery Excellence: Safely load, deliver, and unload hard goods and cylinders.
- Vehicle Care: Perform pre‑ and post‑trip inspections and document needs.
- Valid Class A or B CDL with HAZMAT (or ability to obtain within 60 days) and Airbrake endorsements.
- Maintain appropriate driver’s license, medical card, and endorsements.
- No more than two traffic convictions or two at‑fault accidents in last 3 years, or no more than a combination of one traffic conviction and one at‑fault accident.
- No DUI or controlled substance violation within last 7 years.
- Must work in a drug‑free environment.
- Be able to regularly lift 75 lbs and move more than 125 lbs with material‑handling equipment.
- 1 year of CDL driving experience in last 5 years, or proof of trucking school completion within last 12 months.
- Forklift experience.
- Home daily position.
- Reliable Monday‑Friday schedule with 7:30 am start; occasional weekend support; 40‑hour week.
- Referral bonus: $500.
