DriverAs a driver you will safely navigate the most efficient routes to job sites, obey all traffic laws and safety regulations, assist in loading and unloading materials, and represent the company on the job site by leading, instructing, and supervising others.
Requirements- Valid state CDL Class A or B Driver’s License with clean driving record
- 21 years of age or older
- Current and valid Medical Certification Card
- CDL driving position held the previous year with consecutive driving experience
- High degree of attention and dexterity in vehicle control
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors under adverse weather conditions
- Ability to lift up to 100 pounds repeatedly during extended periods
- Ability to bend, reach, lift, and climb
- Willingness to climb 40‑foot ladder and rooftop as required (location based)
- Daily vehicle inspections and maintenance of truck cleanliness
- U.S. citizenship or authorization to work in the U.S.
- Pass company‑required drug screening and random drug testing
- Experience handling materials
- Forklift experience
- Certification to operate a crane
- Loading or assisting in loading and securing materials on trucks daily, verifying quantities for accuracy.
- Driving the shortest distance to the job site, observing all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Unloading materials using forklift, crane, conveyor, or by hand; securing returning loads before leaving the site.
- Climbing 40‑foot ladder to deliver materials on roofs up to 8–12 foot pitch; ensuring proper stacking and distribution.
- Inspecting truck daily, completing DOT inspection booklet, and reporting maintenance issues.
- Operating motorized equipment such as trucks, forklifts, and conveyors safely and in compliance with state laws.
- Assisting in inventory on a quarterly basis or as needed.
- Maintaining the warehouse, yard, and trucks in a presentable condition and performing minor repairs as needed.
- Ensuring safe handling of materials, wearing appropriate safety gear, and maintaining safe vehicle operation.
- Providing customer service by aiding customers with materials, reporting delivery issues, and addressing service concerns.
Reports directly to the Branch Manager and indirectly to the Regional Manager on branch and personnel issues. Reports indirectly to the Safety Coordinator regarding fleet, safety, and staff.
