Part-Time Preschool Assistant Teacher (CDA or Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education Required)

The YMCA Early Learning Center in Valhalla is a NYS OCFS-licensed program serving children ages 18 months to 5 years
. We are seeking a caring, enthusiastic Preschool Assistant Teacher to support classrooms serving children ages 3–5 in a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.

• Support the Lead Teacher in implementing developmentally appropriate, play-based activities
• Help create a warm, nurturing classroom that encourages curiosity and confidence
• Assist with children’s social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development
• Build positive relationships with children, families, and coworkers
• Support daily routines, classroom organization, and documentation

• A positive, child-centered mindset
• Understanding of early childhood development
• Reliable, flexible, and a strong team player
• Passion for working with young children

• CDA or Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education (required)
• Minimum 1 year of preschool experience
• Teaching Certification/CDA required
• Part-Time, In-Person
• Starting at $18-$20/hour
