About Westchester Community College: Westchester Community College was founded in 1946 as the New York State Institute of Applied Arts and Sciences in White Plains. In 1957, the County of Westchester bought the 360-acre John Hartford estate in Valhalla and designated 218 acres for the community college. Job Description

Westchester Community College's Business Department seeks applications for a full-time tenure-track instructor with expertise in the major functional areas of Business, including Business Organization & Management, Principles of Management, Global Business, and Entrepreneurship. The position requires teaching 15 contact hours plus a minimum of 5 office hours per week. In addition, the instructor is responsible for updating and developing courses, curricula, and assessment methods;

and providing academic and career advisement to students. The instructor is also expected to participate in department, school & college-wide committees, initiatives & events as well as professional development activities, and to keep abreast of trends in business on all levels.

Requirements
  • REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: MBA or related Master's degree and a minimum of one year of college teaching experience in Business Administration is required. Mastery of business technologies such as Excel is required.
  • All candidates must have evidence of responsiveness to and understanding the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, gender identity, sexual orientation, and ethnic backgrounds of community college students and evidence of equity-minded practice.
  • PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Evidence of at least three years of college level teaching in business administration strongly desired. Three years' related work experience in a managerial position is also strongly preferred. Professional experience with strong record of leadership in business. Community college experience preferred. Familiarity with computer-assisted/multimedia instruction and asynchronous learning (such as Microsoft Office, Teams, and Brightspace.) Experience in an entrepreneurial environment and/or practical usage of artificial intelligence is strongly preferred.

POSITION EFFECTIVE: Fall 2026

SALARY & BENEFITS: The starting salary is $75,170. Additional compensation with seniority steps maximize at a salary of $88,234. Benefits include comprehensive health coverage, a choice of defined benefit and/or defined contribution pension plan, generous leave benefits, and access to tax sheltered annuities and a deferred compensation plan.
