Seeking a Financial Planner Analyst for a hybrid role in Valhalla, NY
Pay rate is $40 to $42 hour
We are seeking a Financial Planner & Analyst, within eCommerce Marketing under the Product Marketing team and serve as a strategic finance partner supporting product strategy, go-to-market planning decision-making. The role owns product-level financial modeling, forecasting, and performance analysis to ensure product launches, campaigns, and ongoing initiatives are financially sound and aligned with margin and growth targets. Working closely with Finance, Operations, and Lifecycle teams, this role provides clear financial insights to inform pricing strategies, promotional investments, SKU decisions, and launch timing.
The Financial Planner & Analyst does not own accounting, inventory execution, or lifecycle analytics, but instead enables data‑driven product decisions through disciplined financial planning and analysis.
- Develop and maintain product-level financial models, forecasts, and budgets supporting product launches, GTM plans, content creation and ongoing initiatives.
- Build detailed sales and revenue forecasts for new product launches, factoring in seasonality, promotional activities, and market demand.
- Analyze costs related to marketing collateral, creative development, and technology tools to ensure efficient spending aligned with business objectives.
- Conduct scenario modeling to evaluate pricing strategies, promotions, shipping impacts, and launch timing decisions.
- Evaluate ROI for marketing campaigns and recommend resource allocation based on financial impact.
- Monitor product performance against forecasts; identify financial risks such as budget overruns or underperforming initiatives and suggest corrective actions.
- Prepare regular financial reports, dashboards, and presentations for leadership and stakeholders, linking key metrics like CAC, ROAS, and margin impact to marketing outcomes.
- Assist in developing pricing models that balance competitiveness and profitability. Support inventory planning by forecasting demand and managing cost implications, balancing customer expectations with cash flow constraints.
- Design and maintain dashboards to track e-commerce marketing KPIs and enable data-driven decisions.
- Partner with lifecycle marketing teams to analyze campaign performance, customer acquisition, retention, and lifetime value metrics.
- Support A/B testing and marketing experiments by analyzing data and recommending actionable insights.
- Research and recommend financial planning and analysis tools to enhance forecasting accuracy and reporting efficiency.
- Lead or assist in tool implementation and user training across teams.
- Work closely with marketing, operations, product buying, and finance teams to align financial planning with broader business strategies.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field; advanced degree or certification (CFA, CPA) preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in financial analysis or planning within retail, e-commerce, or consumer goods.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills with advanced proficiency in Excel and financial modeling.
- Experience with business intelligence and forecasting tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Anaplan).
- Solid understanding of e-commerce marketing KPIs, product costing, pricing strategies, and inventory management.
- Ability to translate complex financial data into clear insights and actionable recommendations.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working with cross-functional teams.
- Detail-oriented, highly organized, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Passion for e-commerce, digital marketing, and personalized products is a plus.
- Proactive and self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
