Benefits Analyst
Our client is a well-established organization seeking a Benefits Specialist to join its Human Resources team on a contract basis. This is an excellent opportunity for an organized professional who enjoys problem-solving, supporting employees, and improving HR processes in a collaborative environment.
The Benefits Specialist will support the administration of employee benefit programs by managing enrollments, billing, reporting, payroll deductions, and employee inquiries. The ideal candidate is highly detail-oriented, comfortable working with data, and eager to identify opportunities to improve processes while providing outstanding internal customer service.
Key responsibilities include administering employee benefit enrollments, life event changes, and eligibility updates; reviewing and reconciling monthly benefit invoices, researching and resolving discrepancies; auditing payroll benefit deductions to ensure accuracy and coordinating corrections with Payroll when necessary; responding to employee questions regarding benefit plans, enrollment, documentation, deadlines, and coverage; generating reports and maintaining accurate records using ADP Workforce Now and other HR systems;
updating and maintaining SharePoint resources, benefit communications, and internal documentation; conducting routine audits to ensure compliance with benefit plan requirements and company policies; supporting Open Enrollment and year-end benefits initiatives; coordinating with benefit vendors and internal departments to resolve administrative issues; and recommending process improvements and contributing ideas to enhance the team's efficiency.
Qualifications include a bachelor's degree required, previous experience administering employee benefits required, experience with benefits reporting, invoice reconciliation, employee engagement initiatives, and SharePoint updates, proficiency with Microsoft Excel; advanced Excel skills are highly preferred, experience with ADP Workforce Now preferred, SharePoint experience preferred, strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities, comfort asking questions, seeking clarification, and offering process improvement ideas, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of accuracy and confidentiality.
Additional details include a contract assignment anticipated to run through the end of December, a hybrid work schedule with three days onsite each week, one 30-minute virtual interview, a background check required prior to start, and looking for someone who can quickly adapt to a fast-paced HR environment and work independently.
