Lab Tech / Assistant
Job Title
Pay Rate: $30 per hour
SummaryLocation:
Valhalla, NY
Work Mode: 100% Onsite
Hours:
Monday-Friday, 8AM-5PM
Support scientists in testing new ingredients and beverage models.
Accurately prepare samples.
Submit samples for analytical or sensory testing.
Thoroughly document experimental details.
Accurately enter data and analyze results.
Support production runs in the technical center pilot plant.
Maintain and document laboratory inventory.
Perform all activities in a safe manner and within the context of safety protocols.
Work in the lab under GLP/GMP practices.
Maintain a safe, clean, and organized laboratory environment.
Manage multiple project tasks to support the workgroup, manage time and expectations for group needs.
Effectively communicate conflicts of requests.
RequirementsBachelor's degree in Food Science, Food Technology, or related field.
Laboratory bench work experience in school or at a consumer goods company. (Experience in the food and beverage industry is a plus).
Familiarity with lab analytical instruments and beverage processing equipment.
Good organizational skills.
Attention to detail.
Proactive, reliable, and self-motivated.
Computer
Skills:
MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and Outlook (email/calendar).
