Temporary Microbiologist Position
Duration: 6 months (temporary assignment)

Valhalla R&D Technical Center
Provide technical and laboratory support to the company's Global R&D Microbiological Sciences team.
Perform routine microbiological testing and prepare microbiological media and reagents.
Support product safety and quality programs and assist with challenge and shelf-life studies.
Receive, log, label, and process R&D and pilot-plant samples.
Execute routine tests such as APC, coliforms, yeast & mold, swabs/rinse waters.
Prepare high-quality culture media, buffers, and reagents, and perform sterility checks.
Assist microbiologists during microbiological challenge/qualification studies.
Record, verify, and route test outcomes, and notify stakeholders of releases or out-of-spec findings.
Maintain inventory, order supplies, perform equipment checks and cleaning, and complete logs/SOPs.
Follow SOPs, data integrity and traceability practices, and uphold safety and GLP standards.
Maintain and update the laboratory culture collection.
Use digital/lab systems for sample tracking and data entry.
Requirements:B.S. in Microbiology, Biology, Food Science, or related discipline with microbiology coursework/labs.
Minimum 1 year of hands-on experience in a microbiology lab performing standard methods.
Proficient in aseptic technique and operation of micro lab equipment.
Strong attention to detail, ability to follow written procedures, and effective teamwork and communication skills.
PreferredSkills:
Familiarity with beverage micro testing/release procedures for R&D consumption products.
Experience with LIMS or structured data capture platforms in a lab setting.
