Your Role in Our Journey

Based at the headquarters in Valhalla, NY, the Tasting Coordinator will manage the categorization of the hundreds of wines received each month, assist in arranging wine flights, and pour wines for reviewers according to the company’s blind‑tasting protocol. Additional responsibilities include client support to importers, wineries and producers, event assistance, and special projects as assigned.

Key Responsibilities
  • Compare and modify submission entries against sample labels to match editorial style.
  • Tag and organize bottles by region and style in Tasting Room cellars.
  • Receive deliveries and process samples with sensitivity to review schedules.
  • Communicate with importers and wineries to verify product submissions.
  • Arrange flights for blind review by region, grape variety, style, vintage, and other criteria.
  • Pour wines for reviewers, adhering to the blind‑tasting protocol.
  • Respond professionally and promptly to client support requests.
  • Assist with entering reviews into the proprietary database.
  • Modify and confirm codes for large‑volume submissions (group tastings, advertorials, special issues).
  • Complete time‑sensitive special projects in collaboration with other departments.
  • Participate in meetings to determine weekly task assignments and long‑term project planning.
Qualifications
  • 1–2 years of professional experience.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clarify information for clients from diverse linguistic backgrounds.
  • Proactive prioritization of daily tasks, managing multiple projects simultaneously within time constraints.
  • Strong independence and self‑initiative.
  • Detail‑oriented focus on large amounts of data entry.
  • Collaboration skills, fostering a solutions‑oriented attitude to achieve shared goals.
  • Physical capability to lift up to 40 pounds and move boxes regularly.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree.
  • Demonstrable wine knowledge (e.g., WSET Level 2 Award in Wines, CMS Level 1, or comparable industry experience).
  • Familiarity with Excel, Google Suite, Adobe, and willingness to learn a proprietary database.

Position is fully on‑site
, requiring a five‑day workweek at the Valhalla, NY headquarters. A commuter shuttle service is available to and from the White Plains Metro‑North station.
