Position Overview
The RHY Aftercare & Outreach Specialist provides comprehensive, trauma-informed services to runaway and homeless youth (RHY) through direct care, street outreach, and aftercare support. This advanced role is responsible for engaging youth, coordinating services, implementing programming, and strengthening community partnerships to promote safety, stability, and positive youth development. The Specialist serves as a mentor to staff and youth while supporting agency goals, regulatory compliance, and accreditation standards.
Position Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent (some college preferred). Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrated ability to provide counseling, crisis intervention, and suicide prevention services. Proficiency in Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI), DBT, and trauma-informed practices. Valid NYS driver's license (Required)
