Position: Temporary Pool, Short-Term Hourly - Administrative Support

Short‑term temporary Administrative Support position available at Napa Valley College. The role provides general clerical, secretarial, and administrative support to various campus divisions, departments, and programs.

These temporary positions are at‑will employment and will be screened for minimum qualifications by the Department of Human Resources.

Levels and Pay
  • Administrative Support I ($16.90)
  • Administrative Support II ($18.00)
  • Administrative Support III ($19.00)
  • Administrative Support IV ($20.00)
  • Administrative Support V ($21.00)
Duties by Level
  • Level I: Provides basic help for basic tasks and duties under supervision.
  • Level II: Requires some work experience in the particular job field. Duties include responsibility for more complex functions and tasks with minimal direct supervision.
  • Level III: Requires experience and specialized knowledge. Duties include a variety of advanced tasks pertaining to more complex work and/or skills. Capable of using independent judgment and may serve as a lead to others who are less skilled.
  • Level IV: Extensive experience required. Should have specialized knowledge or training for specific functions. Strongly independent judgment, leadership, and communication skills, and knowledge of relevant College policies. Capable of working independently.
  • Level V: Extensive experience required. Must have specialized and advanced knowledge for specific functions, as well as judgment and problem‑solving skills. Must handle complex tasks and provide guidance and leadership. Detailed knowledge of relevant College policies is necessary.
