Compensation & Requirements

Hourly Pay: $34.00 – $45.00 per hour (based on experience and certifications)

Schedule Requirements:

  • Must be available to work weekends

  • Flexible scheduling may be required based on business needs

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Proven experience as an Automotive Service Technician

  • Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to clearly explain technical information

  • Punctual, dependable, and professional

  • Strong work ethic and ability to work independently or as part of a team

  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record preferred

Core Responsibilities
  • Inspect, diagnose, and repair domestic and foreign vehicles accurately and efficiently

  • Perform routine maintenance services including oil changes, tire rotations, brake service, and fluid checks

  • Conduct comprehensive vehicle inspections and identify necessary repairs

  • Repair or replace engines, transmissions, steering systems, suspension components, braking systems, and electrical systems

  • Perform advanced diagnostics using computerized diagnostic equipment and scan tools

Diagnostic & Technical Expertise
  • Troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical issues, including drivability concerns

  • Interpret technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and manufacturer service bulletins

  • Conduct emissions and safety inspections in compliance with state regulations

  • Perform engine performance testing and analyze fault codes

  • Calibrate and reprogram vehicle control modules when necessary

Safety & Compliance
  • Follow OSHA and shop safety procedures at all times

  • Properly handle and dispose of hazardous materials (oil, coolant, batteries, etc.)

  • Ensure repairs meet manufacturer specifications and quality standards

Customer & Team Interaction
  • Communicate repair findings and recommendations clearly to service advisors and customers

  • Provide accurate labor time estimates and parts requirements

  • Maintain professional appearance and positive customer interactions

  • Mentor and support apprentice or junior technicians

Documentation & Shop Operations
  • Complete work orders, inspection reports, and warranty documentation accurately

  • Maintain tools and shop equipment in good working condition

  • Keep work area clean and organized

  • Stay current with automotive technology through ongoing training and certifications (ASE, manufacturer certifications)
