Compensation & Requirements
Hourly Pay: $34.00 – $45.00 per hour (based on experience and certifications)
Schedule Requirements:
Must be available to work weekends
Flexible scheduling may be required based on business needs
Qualifications & Skills:
Proven experience as an Automotive Service Technician
Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
Excellent communication skills with the ability to clearly explain technical information
Punctual, dependable, and professional
Strong work ethic and ability to work independently or as part of a team
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record preferred
Inspect, diagnose, and repair domestic and foreign vehicles accurately and efficiently
Perform routine maintenance services including oil changes, tire rotations, brake service, and fluid checks
Conduct comprehensive vehicle inspections and identify necessary repairs
Repair or replace engines, transmissions, steering systems, suspension components, braking systems, and electrical systems
Perform advanced diagnostics using computerized diagnostic equipment and scan tools
Troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical issues, including drivability concerns
Interpret technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and manufacturer service bulletins
Conduct emissions and safety inspections in compliance with state regulations
Perform engine performance testing and analyze fault codes
Calibrate and reprogram vehicle control modules when necessary
Follow OSHA and shop safety procedures at all times
Properly handle and dispose of hazardous materials (oil, coolant, batteries, etc.)
Ensure repairs meet manufacturer specifications and quality standards
Communicate repair findings and recommendations clearly to service advisors and customers
Provide accurate labor time estimates and parts requirements
Maintain professional appearance and positive customer interactions
Mentor and support apprentice or junior technicians
Complete work orders, inspection reports, and warranty documentation accurately
Maintain tools and shop equipment in good working condition
Keep work area clean and organized
Stay current with automotive technology through ongoing training and certifications (ASE, manufacturer certifications)
