The position combines crew leadership, technical installation of specialized support systems, and a strong focus on safety, quality, and accountability in an active construction environment.

Responsibilities

  • Work as a hands-on foreman in the field, actively participating in installation activities while directing and coaching crew members.
  • Read and interpret engineering plans, drawings, and blueprints, then translate them into clear, actionable work plans for the crew.
  • Plan, organize, and execute daily jobsite activities to ensure projects stay on schedule, within scope, and meet quality standards.
  • Oversee installation of foundation repair systems, including piering systems, push piers, hydraulic jacks and lifting systems, tiebacks, and structural support solutions.
  • Set up and manage jobsite equipment, including forklifts, skid steers/Bobcats, and general construction tools, ensuring safe and efficient use.
  • Monitor work quality throughout each project, enforce company standards, and hold crews accountable for workmanship and attention to detail.
  • Maintain a strong safety culture on site by enforcing safety policies, conducting safety checks, and promoting safe work practices at all times.
  • Coordinate with operations and field leadership to align on project expectations, resource needs, and schedule requirements.
  • Troubleshoot field issues related to foundation settlement, structural stabilization, and support systems, and provide technical guidance to resolve problems.
  • Ensure compliance with engineering specifications and manufacturer guidelines for all structural repair and support systems installed.
  • Communicate clearly and consistently with crew members, leadership, and other stakeholders regarding job progress, challenges, and changes.
  • Support training and development of crew members by demonstrating proper techniques and reinforcing best practices.
  • Travel to regional project sites within California, including overnight stays when required, and represent the company professionally at all times.
  • Uphold high standards of attendance, reliability, and professionalism, setting the tone for the crew and overall jobsite performance.

  • Strong communication skills for coordinating with crews, operations, and field leadership.
  • Commercial construction experience with hands-on field experience in structural or civil work.
  • Experience working with piering systems, push piers, hydraulic jacks or lifting systems, tiebacks, or structural support systems.
  • Experience operating forklifts and skid steers/Bobcats, as well as general construction equipment and tools.
  • OSHA 30 certification (required or strongly preferred).
  • Confined Space certification (preferred, with support available to obtain if not current).
