This is a pool of applicants for any short‑term, temporary Campus Safety Support positions that may become available at Napa Valley College. On a temporary basis, candidates will provide campus safety assistance. Applications submitted to this temporary pool will be screened by the Department of Human Resources for minimum qualifications. These temporary positions are at‑will employment.
Levels- Campus Safety Support I ($16.90)
- Campus Safety Support II ($18.00)
- Campus Safety Support III ($20.00)
- Campus Safety Support IV ($22.00)
- Campus Safety Support V ($24.00)
- Level I:
Provides basic help for basic tasks and duties under supervision. - Level II
:
Duties include responsibility for more complex functions and tasks. Requires minimal direct supervision. - Level III
:
Requires experience and specialized knowledge. Duties include advanced tasks requiring independent judgment and the ability to lead less skilled staff. - Level IV
:
Extensive experience required. Must have specialized knowledge or training for specific functions. Demonstrates strong independent judgment, leadership, and communication skills, including knowledge of relevant College policies. - Level V:
Extensive experience required. Must possess advanced knowledge for specific functions, judgment, and problem‑solving skills. Capable of handling complex tasks and providing guidance and leadership with detailed knowledge of relevant College policies.
- The short‑term employee is employed to perform a service that will not be continued on a continuous basis. May be employed for a one‑time event or irregular basis. Employment does not displace Classified personnel (EC§88003).
- Employment may not exceed 195 working days within the fiscal year; this is a cumulative figure across all departments.
- Limited to 19 hours per week.
- At‑will; no entitlement rights to any position in the District and not eligible for benefits.
