Part-Time, 21st Employability Skills Instructor

Napa Valley College is soliciting applications for part‑time, hourly 21st Century Workability Skills instructors. The starting salary range is $79.40–$85.87 per classroom hour, with future steps up to $100.46 per classroom hour. Placement is based on verified previous college teaching or counseling experience.

• Teach a range of 21st Century Employability Skills related courses within the Noncredit Education discipline and promote engaging and inclusive educational environments that support student learning.
• Be culturally responsive in interactions with students, faculty, staff, and community members who span diverse languages, nationalities, ethnicities, socio‑economic levels, ages, identities, abilities and educational experiences.
• May be required to conduct classes in a virtual learning environment using Canvas, hybrid, or hyflex modalities to support remote learning.

• Earned Bachelor’s degree and two years of professional experience directly related to the teaching assignment; OR any Associate degree and six years of professional experience directly related to the teaching assignment.
• Provide a Verification of Employment/Recommendation letter from a current or previous employer that substantiates industry knowledge, skills and abilities in any of the following areas:
  • Microsoft Office Specialist Certification
  • Microsoft Office Specialist:
    Expert Certification
  • Microsoft 365 Certified:
    Fundamentals
  • Microsoft 365 Certified:
    Teams
  • Possession of a California Designated Subjects Adult Education Teaching Credential authorizing instruction in the subject matter.

• Demonstrated certification in Canvas or other online modalities.
